Lucia Buricelli is a photographer from Venice, Italy, currently based in New York City. She started taking pictures when she was 16 years old, mostly focusing on street photography.
Buricelli graduated from the New Academy of Fine Arts in Milan, Italy with a degree in Graphic Design and Art Direction. In the 2016 after a road trip through Bosnia, she decided to focus on photography full time, with a focus on photojournalism and documentary photography
Lucia graduated from the International Center of Photography's Documentary and Visual Journalism Program in New York City in 2018 and attended the Eddie Adams Workshop XXXI.
She was among the 30 under 30 Women Photographers selected by Artpil for 2019 and she was nominated for 2019 PDN 30.
Her work has been published in The New York Times, Vice, NewestYork, TagTagTag, C41 magazine, NewYorkerPhoto.
